Angela Blais

Education:
Master: University of North Dakota Spring 2000 M.A.
Undergraduate: University of North Dakota Spring 1998 (Journalism/PR)

Personal Statement:
My graduate research project was an interesting experience as I researched the crossover between politics and popular culture. My main subject was then Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura. The concept was how similar are politics and popular culture and how does it affect the way we see Jesse Ventura as Governor. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time at our families’ cabins in Northern and Central Minnesota. I also enjoy spending time reading and playing trains with our 3 year old (Landon) and Jordon (7 months). When I am really ambitious, I enjoy getting design ideas and redoing rooms in our home.

Courses Taught:
Interpersonal Communications 1222
Introduction to Public Speaking 1112

Awards/Recognitions:
I was named outstanding graduate student 2000 at the University of North Dakota.
I have also done a couple of book reviews for Bedford St. Martins Press.
