Communication Club
The Communication Club shall be a means to improve the quality of the educational experience for the Communication student during her or his academic career and to build social and professional utility in the perception abroad regarding a degree in Communication from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Improving the quality of the educational experience shall be defined by 1) improving the quality of student/faculty relations, 2) building social networks among current and former students, and 3) building functional networks with local and regional professionals working in communication related fields. Social and professional utility shall be defined by 1) increasing awareness about the size and scope of the Communication Department at UMD, 2) clarifying the utility of a Communication degree, and 3) promoting the quality of a Communication degree specifically obtained at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
There are about 100 people registered in the Club right now. The organization organizes through Facebook. Search the Comm Club of UMD. It meets twice monthly. Meeting times and locations are broadcast through Facebook, primarily.
