There are a wide variety of fields that UMD Communication graduates find employment in. Some examples of the positions that Communication graduates hold include:

• Public relations

Although most students go directly into some sort of career upon graduation from college, some of our graduates do not. A number of our majors start their own small businesses, or go on to graduate school in areas such as communication, psychology, counseling, healthcare administration, human resources and management.
