Each graduate will receive 4 guest tickets.
Guest tickets will be distributed April 2 to April 20 in UMD Stores Express, which is located at 109 Kirby Plaza across from the Northern Shores Coffee Shop. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To receive tickets, students must show identification.
A lottery will be held to distribute any extra or unclaimed tickets. To sign up for the lottery, click here. The lottery will be held the week of April 23, and all winners will be notified by email. Please only enter the lottery once; duplicate entries will be deleted.
A drop box will be available in UMD Stores Express, which is located at 109 Kirby Plaza across from the Northern Shores Coffee Shop. Graduates are encouraged to turn in extra tickets for distribution during the lottery.
Lost tickets will not be replaced.
Arrangements will be made to distribute tickets to fall semester graduates who have left Duluth. If you are unable to pick up your guest tickets in UMD Stores Express, send an email with the address information to the Commencement Committee.
Guest tickets will be general admission, with no assigned seats. The arena doors will open at 10 a.m. on May 12, commencement day. The guest seating will be in the upper level of the arena; the graduates will sit in chairs on the arena floor.
Guests need tickets to comply with the Duluth fire marshal's policy prohibiting overcrowding at DECC events. The tickets will guarantee that your guests aren't turned away at the door by the fire marshal.
