October 11: Noon, Library Rotunda, Impact of Water Diversion on Women & Men in Central Kenya Stories and Pictures from the Field with Dr. Njoki Kamau.

October 15: 7 pm, Kirby Rafters, Human Rights Issues and the American Indian Community (1 of 5 in series) - Panel discussion with Jim Northrup, writer and activist; Robert Powless, professor emeritus, UMD American Indian Studies; and Linda Grover, chair, UMD American Indian Studies.

October 17: 6 - 7pm, Kirby Lounge, A Science Night for UMD families.

November 16: Fall deadline for the Commission on Women's large grant applications. ($301-$1000).
