Student Academic Integrity

Academic dishonesty tarnishes UMD's reputation and discredits the accomplishment of students. The Student Academic Integrity Policy enables UMD to have a consistent, clear-cut process in place for the reporting of offenses. The main objective is to have a central reporting office on campus, which will allow repeat offenders to be identified. To be fair and equitable to students, reporting to the academic integrity officer is mandatory. Records maintained by the academic integrity officer are confidential and are protected by federal law.
