Master of Science in Computer Science
The Master of Science program provides a firm foundation in research and applications in Computer Science. It is a two year full-time program with a strong research orientation. The program is designed from students with undergraduate degrees in computer science or computer engineering.

Current Graduate Students
There are currently 25 full-time graduate students pursuing the M.S. degree in Computer Science. Each student has a graduate teaching assistantship or a research assistantship.

Since the establishment of the graduate program in computer science, 155 students have been awarded the Master of Science in Computer Science degree at UMD.

Deadlines
February 1 - March 14, 2010 -- Initial Round of Financial Aid Decisions
The decisions on admissions and financial aid for the next academic year are made during this period. To be considered in the first round, an applicant must have submitted an admissions application by March 15.
March 15 - April 15 2010 -- Notification of Financial Aid
The department makes its offers of financial aid as early as possible in the spring of the year but may make offers later if funding is available. Although we attempt to make all offers by April 15th, for various reasons during a particular year this may not be possible. See Section 2.2 of the CS Graduate Brochure for details.
July 15, 2010 -- Deadline for Fall 2010 Admission
