The Robert F. Pierce Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic has a variety of materials, tests, books, and equipment which have been purchased for student intern and faculty use. All diagnostic and treatment materials (other than toys and other consumables) are catalogued by disorder type on the CSD web site for ease in locating useful materials for your assigned clients.
Clinic supplies are not to be taken out of the Clinic. The only exception to this is for student interns who bring clinic materials to their site supervisor at an assigned off-campus placement. The student will check out the materials in their own name, and will be responsible for returning them in one week.
Student interns are responsible for identifying broken or missing equipment, materials or test forms that need to be reordered. Notify the clinic secretary, using the forms for this purpose located in the CRC file drawer
The Clinic Resource Center is a repository for a large inventory of published programs and diagnostic tests. These materials must be checked out before removal from the CRC. In order for all materials to be available for all faculty/staff/students, you are accountable for the following procedures.
You will receive notice shortly before the end of the semester regarding return of materials. Students are responsible for paying the replacement cost of any materials not returned. If students do not return the item and do not pay the replacement cost, a hold will be placed on the student´s record and they will not be permitted to register for further classes until the issue is resolved.
Video and audio taping equipment and assorted instrumentation are stored in Montague Room G in the RFP Clinic.
Due to Bohannon Hall Construction, this lab temporarily has moved to Chester Park.
The CSD Department has a large variety of Augmentative/Alternative Communication equipment for use with clients. Students must follow the check-out procedure in Montague 11.
Due to Bohannon Hall Construction, the Bohannon 236 computer lab has moved to Montague 24B.
Small toys and craft materials are stored at the back of the RFP Clinic. Large toys are stored in Montague 24A. These items must be returned after therapy sessions. Everyone is responsible for keeping these storage areas clean and organized.
Student interns have the option of checking out a bin for the semester to store personal therapy projects and supplies. Bins are located in Montague 24A.
NOTE: Office supplies in the RFP Clinic are for Department use only and are not for student use. Individuals found using Department supplies for personal use are subject to discipline under the policies of the University of Minnesota Duluth.
