Part 2: Introduction To CSD Department

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at the University of Minnesota Duluth prepares students to work in a variety of professional settings and to meet the challenges of serving individuals with diverse communication impairments and differences.

About the UMD Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders

Degrees offered
The UMD CSD Department offers an Undergraduate Degree and a Graduate Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
ASHA Accreditation
The Program has been accredited the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since 1978.
CEHSP
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is a part of UMD´s College of Education and Human Service Professions (CEHSP).
Eddy Lecture Series
The Edwin Eddy Foundation and the CSD Program jointly sponsor 2-3 workshops each year, featuring prominent leaders in clinical assessment and rehabilitation. These workshops attract speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and other professionals from across the nation. CSD Majors and CSD Graduate Students are welcome to attend, free of charge.
