UMD ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME TO ADD EIGHT INDUCTEES THIS OCTOBER
Seven former Bulldogs, including a trio of multi-sport standouts - Mike Petrich, Kelli (Ritzer) Thomas, and Jerry Wherely - along with longtime men’s basketball coach Dale Race, will be paid a lasting tribute on October 2 when the University of Minnesota Duluth Athletic Hall of Fame holds its seventh enshrinement ceremony. The addition of this select group brings the UMD Athletic Hall of Fame membership to 70.

The Class of 2004 is comprised of the following individuals: Denise (Holm) Olson, basketball; 1985-89, Dan Lempe, hockey; 1976-80, John Nachtsheim, football; 1960-62, Mike Petrich, baseball and football; 1985-90.
