The work by Gloria DeFilipps Brush, professor,
Department of Art and Design, is in the touring group exhibition Innovation/Imagination:
50 Years of Polaroid Photography at the University of Kentucky Art
Museum in Lexington from October 16 - December 23, 2005.
Carol A. Bock, associate professor, Department
of English, has been appointed as the new half-time UMD Associate Graduate
School Dean.
Ron Caple, professor, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry,
has been selected by the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation
to receive a CRDF Recognition Medal for his significant contribution
to CRDFs success in developing international collaborations in science
and technology.
The jewelry by Eun-Kyung Suh, assistant professor, Department of Art and
Design Rest in Peace, In Tear, Reaction,
Wedding Ring I, II, and With Anger, will be exhibited
in the Fine Craft Exhibition at the Pen & Brush in New York, November
through December.

Joshua W. Pyatskowit, Ph.D graduate student in toxicology, and Joseph
R. Prohaska, professor, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology,
published a manuscript entitled L-threo 3,4-dihydroxyphenylserine
treatment during mouse perinatal and rat postnatal development does not
alter the impact of dietary copper deficiency in the journal Nutritional
Neuroscience 8: 173-181 (2005).
