DARLAND SCHOLARSHIP NOMINATIONS
This is an invitation to you and the members of your unit to nominate
students for the Raymond W. Darland All-American Scholarship Program.
The scholarship program was established in 1976 by Regent Emeritus Richard
L. Griggs in honor of Provost Emeritus Raymond W. Darland.
Three scholarships of $3,600 will be awarded to offset the cost of tuition
in 2006-07.
Faculty or staff members may nominate a student by submitting: 1) a letter
of nomination identifying the candidate and the candidates qualifications;
2) a current UMD unofficial transcript; and 3) the candidates resume
indicating community and campus involvement.
Nominations must be made by faculty and administrative staff; no self-nominations
will be accepted. Nominations must be received by Ginger Johnson in the
Financial Aid Office, 139 Darland Administration Building by April 21,
2006.
