EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

Volunteers are needed for both the Graduate Program Ceremony and the Bachelor's Degree Ceremony.
The Graduate Program Ceremony is at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 15 in the Romano Gymnasium. Volunteers are needed from 5-7 p.m. to hand out programs, line up the graduates, and answer guest and student questions. The Bachelor’s Degree Ceremony is at noon on Saturday, May 17 in the DECC Arena. Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to noon to help the graduates line up, hand out programs, answer guest questions and help guests in the VIP section. Volunteers will review their responsibilities on Wednesday, May 14 at 2 p.m. in the Administrative Conference Room, 520 Darland Administration Building, during the Commencement Committee meeting. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS COUNSELOR VISIT
Sue Smith, University of Minnesota, Employee Benefits Counselor, is coming to UMD on April 3 and 4 for individual consultations in the Regents’ Room, 520 DAdB. Sue will be able to answer questions related to retirement, medical/dental benefits, optional retirement, short term/long term disability, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and other benefits related questions.

UMD Stores is hosting the March Food Drive to support the Union Gospel Mission Food Shelf. Please drop off non-perishable food items at any UMD Stores location all through March. Help keep the Union Gospel Mission Food Shelf open in the lean summer months. All food & monies brought into the Mission through March will be added to by the Feinstein Foundation and Hunger Solutions of Minnesota.
