MINNESOTA BOOK AWARDS
Feb. 1 is the deadline for nominations to the 21st annual Northeastern Minnesota Book Awards, presented by the University of Minnesota Duluth Library and Friends of the Duluth Public Library. These awards recognize books that substantially represent the history, culture, heritage or lifestyle of northeastern Minnesota.
To nominate a book, visit the NEMBA Web site at www.d.umn.edu/lib/nemba. Complete a nomination form and send it, along with one copy of each nominated book, and the $25 entry fee for each title to UMD Library, c/o Brenda Bonnema.
For information, call 726-6843 or e-mail bbonnema@d.umn.edu. A free, community reception honoring all nominated authors will be held on Sun., May 17 at the UMD Library.

HEALTH SERVICES AWARDED
Health Services has been awarded the certificate of accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Inc. (AAAHC). In order to achieve accreditation, Health Services underwent an extensive on-site survey of its facility and services that evaluated all aspects of patient care. Health Services provides medical services, counseling and education all aimed at the specific needs of today’s college student. This is the sixth consecutive time Health Services has received a three year accreditation.
