MARY LAMPE SCHOLARSHIP HONOR
Dan Beck, a UMD senior physical education major, received the Mary Lampe
Scholarship from the Minnesota Association of Health, Physical Education,
Recreation and Dance. The Mary Lampe Scholarship is awarded to professionals,
including full-time undergraduate and graduate students in good standing
with MNAHPERD, in their quest to enhance professional/educational development.
Beck is only the third UMD student to receive this scholarship over the
past 10 years.
MINI GRANT PROPOSALS
The Office of Civic Engagement announces a request for proposals to UMD
faculty for the mini grants. The purpose of the grant is to integrate
civic/public engagement into an existing course or a new course with a
civic/public engagement component. Any individual UMD faculty member may apply for
up to $2,000. Applications must be received by Thursday, Nov. 5. For more
