Generating RSS Feeds for UMD Web Calendar of Events

Generating the RSS Feed URL

UMD is just starting to use this feature. We will be making refinements on the appearance of the RSS feed as the semester progresses.

RSS FEEDS MAKE EVENTS IN THE WEB CALENDAR APPEAR ON ANOTHER PAGE

Before you start, take a look at the RSS Feed Generator Page. It does say Twin Cities, but it is used to generate RSS feeds for Duluth events as well.

This page will allow you to create the necessary feeds based on criteria like sponsors, time frame, building names, and so forth.

Most users will want to use their sponsor name as the criteria: Alumni, Music, Multicultural Center, etc.

It is possible to use the building as the criteria: Weber Music Hall, Marshall Performing Arts, etc.

Use a check mark to note your criteria and the campus.

In this example we have chosen
(X) Campus ... ... Duluth
(X) Sponsor ... ... Multicultural Center

After you've chosen your criteria, click on the button "Generate URL" and your RSS feed will appear.
