Thank You for Your Generosity!

Thank you for visiting the University of Minnesota Duluth Development pages. Private giving has never been more important to UMD than it is today. Gifts support student scholarships and fellowships, faculty endowments, research (both faculty and student), arts, athletics, and a variety of other areas on our campus. We are truly grateful for the support we receive from alumni and friends.

If you need further information or would like to talk to one of our professional development staff, please contact us, we would be happy to answer your questions.

Take a tour of the Blue Heron, the research vessel of th UMD's Large lakes Observatory, as she prepares for her first cruise of the 2011 season. The ship is a floating laboratory for undergraduates, graduates students, faculty and staff and has berths for 11 crew and scientists. On this voyage, scientists studied nitrate levels in Lake Superior. Gifts to the UMD Large Lakes Observatory Research Fund help cover costs associated with the largest university-owned research vessel on the Great Lakes.

Charitable IRA Rollover is Back for 2011.
