Where are gifts needed most?

Gifts from alumni and friends fill a critical funding niche in helping the University of Minnesota Duluth achieve the level of quality expected by our students. Donors may designate gifts, of any size, to the college or program they wish to support.

Areas where gifts are needed most include:

Undergraduate scholarships: Gifts for scholarships help in attracting promising students and easing the burden of rising tuition so that students can take full advantage of all UMD has to offer. Scholarship gifts may be designated for the college or program of your choice.

Graduate fellowships: Recruiting top graduate students makes a direct impact on the University's ability to conduct high-quality research. Endowing fellowships allows donors to direct major gifts where it's most meaningful for them.

Faculty support: Top teachers and researchers are the lifeblood of the University. Gifts ensure excellence through endowed chairs and professorships, and faculty development.

Ongoing college and program support: Every college, department and program has specific needs that are critical to its future success. Please indicate how you would like your gift to be designated when you make your gift.

For more information about making a gift, please contact a development officer.
