College of Liberal Arts Opportunities
The College of Liberal Arts is the core of the University, and
plays
a vital role in the education of every UMD student. Every student
at
UMD passes through the doors of the College of Liberal Arts at least
once during their academic career, and about 2000 each year stay
and
call us home. The College offers undergraduate majors in 23 fields
of
study, including American Indian Studies, Anthropology,
Communication, Criminology, English, Environmental Studies,
Interdisciplinary French Studies, Geography, German Studies, History,
Interdisciplinary Studies, International Studies, Philosophy,
Political Science, Pre-law, Sociology, Spanish, Urban & Regional
Studies, and Women's Studies. Master's level work is currently
available in Advocacy and Political Leadership, Criminology, English,
