Your gifts to one of the following funds assist us in encouraging the open cross-cultural exchange of ideas and inviting global educational for all, as well as create a progressive campus community with exceptional opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds.

Fund 3083 UMD Alumni of Color Alliance Scholarship
Scholarships to full-time undergraduate students at UMD according to the following guidelines: a plus factor will be given to students of color who have demonstrated some financial need and academic achievement.

Fund 1876 UMD Bruce Gildseth Multicultural Center Leadership Fund
Leadership gifts to students.

Fund 2994 UMD C/J/M African-American Scholarship
Scholarships to incoming African-American freshmen with financial need & academic achievement who are actively involved in school, church or community service.

Fund 3556 UMD William Maupins Memorial Scholarship
Scholarships to minority students. Selection criteria determined by the African American Advisory Board.

Fund 3579 UMD Harry Oden Scholarship
Scholarships to minority students to allow their studies to continue at UMD. GPA must be at least 2.5.

Fund 5377 UMD Susana Pelayo - Woodward Fund
For college program support, i.e., books and/or other identified needs for and scholarships to Latino/Chicano/Hispanic students.

Fund 1945 UMD Marcia Bevard-Kulick Scholarship
Scholarships to physically handicapped students who have demonstrated financial need.

Fund 3955 UMD Rutherford International Student Scholarship
Scholarships to international students at UMD. Students must be full-time, undergraduate students in any major, must demonstrate some financial need, students must be in good academic standing. Scholarship can be renewed.

Fund 4084 UMD Belote Family Scholarship
Scholarships to women students of color who show financial need and a minimum grade point average of 2.5.

Fund 8588 UMD Magnuson Minority Scholarship
Scholarships through the Multicultural Office at UMD to minority students. Scholar selection made by the Director of the Multicultural Center.

Fund 5577 UMD American Indian/Alaskan Native Community Volunteer Scholarship
To assist American Indian/Alaskan Native community volunteers in their academic endeavors. Scholarships to UMD students with a demonstrated commitment to volunteering with the American Indian/Alaskan Native Community.

Fund 6021 UMD Cruden-Riggs Scholarship
Scholarships to students who actively contribute to the people and issues of the GLBT Community at large and have a financial need.

Fund 7560 UMD GLBT Leadership Fund
To assist GLBT students in gaining valuable GLBT leadership skills; fund purpose may include certain scholarships at the discretion of the director of the unit.

Fund 7562 UMD GLBT Program Fund
Support of programs (films/ lectures & lectures/ workshops/ training & development), resources (books/ pamphlets/ videos), misc. expenses related to programming & scholarships at discretion of the director.

Fund 7696 UMD Petra Orloff and John Reed Scholarship
To promote diverse student body; in accordance w/ donor wishes, a plus factor will be given to Native American Indian students at UMD; students with need.

Fund 7873 UMD Disability Services Resources Fund
Support to the mission and programs of the UMD Disability Services and Resources. The mission is: to provide equal access and reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities, to assist UMD in meeting its obligations to individuals under federal and state statutes, and to foster an inclusive campus community that welcomes students with disabilities.
