This is the 2007 UMD CSC team in front of the College of Science and Engineering mural. 2006 was the first year that UMD participated in the SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge competition. The group features UMD students in Mechanical, Industrial, and Electrical and Computer Engineering putting their talents, passions, and knowledge together to create a snowmobile in compliance with the 2012 EPA emission regulations. The group is advised by Dr. Stanley Burns of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. The team took second place in Houghton, Michigan at the 2006 competition hosted at Michigan Tech.
