Welcome back students and faculty!

It's the beginning of a new school, and that means the UMD IEEE Student Branch will be holding its first meeting this coming Tuesday, September 9th at noon in MWAH 102. Everyone -- ECE students, faculty, and staff -- are invited as we schedule upcoming events for this semester. We'll have several goals to discuss:

1. Choosing a meeting time that will work for most people. If you're interested in coming next Tuesday but can't make it because of a time conflict, send me an e-mail with some times that work better for you.

2. Filling department representative positions in various SCSE committees.

3. Planning the upcoming UMD Engineering Day and IEEE fall grill-out. The grill-out should be scheduled soon while weather permits. ..and more.

In any case, if you can't stay, at least stop by and introduce yourself. We look forward to seeing you there!
