The Boston Connection Project: A Cultural Diversity Immersion Experience

The Boston Connection Project, which is now being led by Jody Langseth and Joan Varney at UMD, began as an outgrowth of UMD's APT3 Project. Collaboration between UMD's Education Department and Charlestown High School in Boston is providing UMD teacher candidates with a diversity experience that would otherwise be unavailable to them.

Karen Keenan spoke about UMD's Boston Connection at the 55th annual meeting of AACTE (the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education) in January 2003.
