Ed Ad Licensure Program
Welcome field experience candidates, site supervisors, secondary site mentors, and university supervisors. This handbook has been prepared to provide an overview of the important guidelines, policies and information for the administrative field experience. We hope it will be a helpful source of answers to questions about UMD’s educational administrative programs for developing principals and superintendents. Please read the handbook before the field experience begins and keep it handy as a reference if questions should arise.
To our field experience participants: Unlike any other time during the administrative preparation process, you now have this unique time to apply fully your acquired knowledge including theory and content to the school system. Your site supervisor, secondary site mentor, and university supervisor make up a team of professionals who will assist you in developing your administrative skills. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you the very best during your field experience.
To the site supervisors and secondary site mentors: We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for continuing to assist us in preparing new administrators. We know our administrative interns join us in expressing our sincere appreciation for your support and assistance.
We extend an invitation to all of you to feel free to contact those listed below if you have any questions or concerns.
Please see our online handbook for detailed program information and forms. The list of courses is available as well: Ed. Ad. course list.
The application to the Ed. Ad. program is now available: Ed. Ad. Application
