UMD recently launched six 15-second video spots highlighting its five colleges and athletics. The pieces focus on students engaged in research, learning, and activities outside of the traditional classroom and were filmed on campus and in the surrounding community. The videos were produced by UMD External Affairs and directed by Swim Creative, a Duluth based marketing firm.
"The energy at UMD is amazing. All across campus, students are conducting research, working with area businesses and organizations, and exploring creative endeavors. The images capture the vibrancy of the students at UMD," said Susan Banovetz, director of External Affairs.
The videos will be aired during national and locally televised sporting events and will also be shown at the Amsoil Arena during UMD hockey games. They will be used by the Admissions Department to show potential students and their parents the diversity of experiences available at UMD. The Office of Advancement will share them with alumni through the alumni enewsletter, the View.
Departments are encouraged to share them on their facebook pages and via Twitter. They are posted on UMD’s YouTube page.
