The Office of Cultural Diversity presents a screening of the documentary, "Meeting of The Mothers," directed by former UMD student Classie Dudley, on Oct. 22 at 7 pm, in Chemistry Building Room 200. The film was shot in Duluth and features a diverse group of mothers across the Twin Ports who share their struggles about having their children in the public schools.
Dudley produced the documentary. It was screened at NAACP conventions in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Memphis. Dudley and other women from the area have formed a Meeting of the Mothers group to support mothers who have children of color.
The event is free and open to the public. For info contact the Office of Cultural Diversity, firstname.lastname@example.org, 218-726-8444.
