Fine Arts Academy Apprentice Program

The Fine Arts Academy Apprentice Program is a teaching opportunity for qualified SFA students. Selection for this program is outlined as follows:
• Qualified students are nominated by a School of Fine Arts professor.
• Qualified applicants are invited to submit resumes and references.
• Search committee selects top candidates for interview process.
• Candidates are hired based on successful interview and departmental needs
• Apprentice instructors are closely monitored and reviewed on a semester basis.

This program allows talented and motivated UMD students to gain valuable teaching experience under the guiding mentorship of a university professor. The program also offers an option for affordable and high quality instruction. We are confident and proud of our Apprentice Instructors!
