Catchy tunes combined with audience participation and a very hungry Sea Monster captivates kids and parents alike. After examining their not so healthy diet of moldy bacon and rusty nails, the Captain and her crew embark on an interactive quest for the illusive Pirate Cookbook. Armed with the calming effects of bananas and foods high in vitamin B, they travel to the Leafy Green Lagoon, through the Berry Straights and on to the Carrot Islands. At each colorful stop, captain and crew learn about the benefits of eating healthy fruits and vegetables. UMD Voyageurs fuses the energy and drama of musical performance with current issues faced by children and youth.
