Teacher Certificate Coursework

If you are enrolled at least half-time in a required teacher certification program, you may be eligible for federal aid funds. The program must be required for initial elementary or secondary teacher certification or recertification in the state where you plan to teach or are completing the program.

Optional courses taken for advancement, professional recognition, and courses that are not required for certification do not qualify for aid.

To be considered for aid, you must complete and submit a Petition to Reinstate Financial Aid Eligibility. The form must list the course(s) you are required to take to complete your certification and must be signed by your adviser.
