National SMART (Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent) Grant
Students who are receiving the federal Pell Grant will be evaluated for this federally-funded gift program that awards $4,000 for each of the third and fourth academic years of study.
To be eligible, a student must:
- be a U.S. citizen
- be enrolled full-time
- have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- be majoring in one of the following:
- physical science
- life science
- computer science
- engineering
- mathematics
- technology
Students must have a FAFSA on file for the current academic year to be eligible for this grant program. Students must also be maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress.
This grant is not prorated for students taking less than 12 credits. If your enrollment drops below 12 credits by the end of the second week of the term, you will not receive any funds from this program.
Annual award amounts may be reduced by the U.S. Department of Education if sufficient funds are not available for all eligible students in an award year.
