University Trust Fund Loan (UTFL)

Full-time status required.

The University Trust Fund Loan is a loan for undergraduate and graduate students. University Trust Fund Loans are made through a school's financial aid office; the school itself is the lender. Currently, the annual interest rate is fixed at 7%, with a maximum of 10 years to repay.

Undergraduate
You may be offered a UTFL loan for an amount up to $2,000 per academic year.
Graduate or Professional Student
You may be offered up to $3,000.

You cannot borrow more than $8,000 in UTFL loans as an undergraduate or $14,000 as a graduate/professional student, including any UTFL loans you may have received as an undergraduate.
