About Alpha Mu Gamma

Alpha Mu Gamma is the National collegiate foreign Language Honor Society, which has more than two hundred chapters in both state and private universities.

Alpha Mu Gamma’s Delta Theta Chapter at UMD is an organization which tries to promote the study of foreign languages as a common interest, and to meet and have fun together.

Full membership is open to students who have received the grade of “A” in two quarters/semesters of a foreign language class, from either college or high school (fee). Students who have not met the grade requirements may still join as associate members (no fee).

A membership in Alpha Mu Gamma will look great on your resume, and you will have a great time with friends! Any student who is interested in becoming a member may pick up an application form in the Foreign Languages and Literatures Office, Humanities 457.

Whether you wish to become an official member or not, we encourage you to come to our events and our meetings.
