- Classrooms and laboratories are not given specific names unless the room has specific, longterm equipment and is unusable for other uses.

Standards for Signs with Paper Inserts
- Facilities Management will provide an insert sheet for your A1 or A2 signage.
- Use Helvetica Regular font for paper inserts. If your work processor dowes not have this font, Sans Serif is an acceptable alternatine.
- Primary information on the insert (such as title of person), 72-point Helvetica is used
- Secondary information (such as title of person), 48-point Helvetica is used
- Other information (such as office hours), 24-point Helvetica is used
- As a general rule, text under 24-point should not be used on paper inserts.
Desk Name Plates
Desktop name plates are produced in the Carpenter Shop. The wood holders for
the desk name plates are not automatically included with a work request for
a desk name plate, and should be specified. There is no charge for the name
plate; however, the department will be charged for the wood holders.
