Floors in corridors and other open areas will be cleaned using appropriate machine. Areas that cannot be reached by machine, (such as offices, work rooms and classrooms) will be mopped.
Carpet will be vacuumed, pre-sprayed, and cleaned with extraction machine using clear water. Portable furniture will be moved by custodian. Customer will be asked to pick up personal belongings prior to carpet extraction. Carpet will dry overnight.
All surfaces of fountain will be sanitized and bright work will be polished.
Restroom/locker room fixtures will be sanitized.
Clean water and enzymes will be poured down drains to alleviate dry drain, bacteria and odor.
Classroom trays, chalkboards and whiteboards will be cleaned nightly unless noted by “SAVE” written on board. Writing will be left on private boards.
All surfaces of door glass will be wiped clean using approved cleaning solution.
Accessible kitchen sinks and counters, free of dishes or other personal belongings will be cleaned daily with approved cleaning solution.
Mirrors and partitions will be wiped clean with approved cleaning solution.
Containers will be cleaned inside, wiped, and liner will be replaced. Outside surfaces and lid will be wiped clean. Trash cans are cleaned by area custodial. Recycling containers are cleaned by recycling crew.
Toilets and urinals will be de-scaled using approved cleaning solution.
Surfaces which are free of objects, including (but not limited to) vents, ledges, window sills, desks, counter tops, filing cabinets and cubicle partitions will be wiped to remove dust.
All surfaces in cab and doors on all levels will be wiped clean, swept and mopped, or vacuumed. Door tracks and lens covers will also be cleaned.
Corridor and restroom trash will be emptied and liners replaced nightly. Other areas will have trash emptied nightly and liners replaced as needed.
Recycling bins will be emptied weekly or by request. Desk side recycling is not provided. Personal containers should be emptied into a central recycling bin. Batteries are recycled when battery container at designated areas are full.
Litter and debris in corridors, stairwells, elevators and restrooms will be picked up and spots will be vacuumed or and mopped. Restrooms will be restocked and spills cleaned up. Reported trouble spots will be responded to.
Thoroughly clean hard surfaces such as rest rooms and locker rooms using approved pressure washer machine.
Re-align furniture after cleaning the room. Occupants are asked to realign furniture for next class or meeting if moved during use.
Scrub and apply finish as needed to hard surface floors to protect and deliver a polished appearance.
Replace all bulbs in fixture and wipe lens cover and frame using damp cloth with approved cleaning solution. Report any lighting issues for repair.
Remove graffiti using approved cleaning solution.
1. Restroom supplies: soap, paper towels, toilet paper, sanitary disposal bags replenished nightly.
2. General purpose classroom: Chalk, erasers and markers will be replenished as needed.
3. Teaching labs/clinics and research supplies: Stock paper towels and soap will be replenished as needed.
Stains and spots will be removed using approved cleaning solution and method appropriate for type of stain.
Finger smudges, spots, stains or spills will be removed as needed with appropriate cleaning solutions. Custodians will not move personal belongings or piles of paper.
Dust and debris (paper, cans, bottles, pens, pencils, etc.) will be removed from accessible hard surface floors. Custodians will not move personal belongings or piles of papers.
Extra cleaning services such as upholstery cleaning, wall washing and blind cleaning may be available at additional cost to department, and as resources allow. Please submit Facilities Management service request including account to charge.
