We have planned some events for parents and family members during the first part of Bulldog Welcome Week. We welcome parents and families to attend the following programs:

• Understanding Your Student's Financial Aid and Financing College: Optional Workshop for Parents
  Thursday, September 3
  2:30- 3:30 in Kirby Ballroom

• Disability Resources: Meet, Greet, and Ask Open House for Students and Families
  Thursday, September 3
  3:00-5:00 in Kirby Student Center 256 in Multicultural Center
  
• Update on H1N1 Flu: What Do You Need to Know. Optional Workshop for Parents
  Thursday, September 3
  3:30-4:00 in Kirby Ballroom
  
• Parents and Family Welcome & Program
  Thursday, September 3
  4:00-5:00 in Kirby Ballroom
  
• Chancellor’s BBQ
  Friday, September 4
  11:00-1:00 in Kirby Student Center Lounge and Terrace
  
• Chancellor’s Welcome and Convocation*

New students will be actively engaged in orientation programming as of 11:00 on Friday, September 4th. We encourage you to plan to say your goodbyes before new students go to their 11:00 Rock Group meeting, as it may be difficult to connect with them after that time. Immediately after the Chancellor’s Welcome and Convocation the students will continue on to the required part of the program.

*PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE ONLY 800 SEATS AVAILABLE FOR PARENTS at Chancellor's Welcome & Convocation. There will be a special seating area for parents and families.
