Scott Freundschuh is an Associate Professor in Geography, and the Directory of the Environmental Studies Program. His research
interests are in the use of environmental perception and behavior. He focuses on spatial cognition in children and adults, with particular
interests in the understanding of locatives, spatial knowledge acquired from maps, from the environment, and from narrative, and the influences that
pattern or structure of the environment have on spatial knowledge acquisition. He teaches courses in map design, Geographic Information System (GIS), and animated
cartography.
