The minerals displayed in this web page have been donated to the Department of Geological Sciences by John and Lempi Pagnucco. Lempi graduated from the Duluth Normal School in 1922, her husband John graduated a few years later from the Twin Cities campus. Lempi first became interested in collecting minerals when she was a Girl Scout leader. Together, over many years, John and Lempi collected many great samples from various localities around the world. They donated their entire collection to the Department. Only some of these specimens are displayed on the first floor of Heller Hall because of space constraints. The Department of Geological Sciences has decided to make them all available to the public via this web page.

John and Lempe lived in Ohio until passing away in recent years.
