Glensheen is roofed with terra-cotta tiles. The roof has lasted for nearly 90 years, but now the estate is badly in need of a new roof.
Money is being collected in a roof fund so that the estate can be reroofed with reproduciton concrete tiles.
Because of the state of the roof, water damage is starting to appear inside the house. In fact, few rooms on the second floor have no water damage on the ceilings.
