collaborate with more biologically oriented programs at other limnological
centers in the United States and abroad. Students may pursue graduate
studies with LLO faculty through already existing M.S. And Ph.D. programs
in Geological Sciences, the Physics M.S. program, or through a new M.S.
and Ph.D. Program in Water Resources Science.
- Math & Science Graduate Fellowships in K-12 Education - a National
Science Foundation-funded program linking students in certain UMD
graduate programs to K-12 teachers to improve teaching of science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics in K-12 classrooms.
- Minnesota Sea Grant - a
partnership between the University of Minnesota Graduate School, the
Federal Government, the State of Minnesota, and various Minnesota industries.
It is a statewide enterprise, and one of 29 programs in coastal ocean
