Perry, MLS – Chemical Health educator Health Education InternEach year, the Health Education Department at UMD Health Services hires a Student Intern. The Intern's primary responsibility is to design, market, implement and evaluate the Annual Student Health Fair. The Intern develops the theme of the fair, and coordinates the appropriate campus and community vendors to provide interactive information regarding the fair's theme. Student groups:Student Health Advisory CommitteeThe Student Health Advisory Committee is a group of dedicated students who act as a student voice to UMD Health Services and school administration for topics pertaining to community health and public health policy at UMD. Members meet weekly for one hour to discuss current issues and brainstorm solutions and/or action steps to bring about change. Peer Health EducatorsPeer Health Educators (PHE) is a student organization working to promote healthy lifestyle choices, with their main focus being on healthy relationships and sexual health, and alcohol risk reduction. Their mission is to provide students with information, which will better equip them to make educated decisions regarding their health and wellness.
