Primary Care

The professional medical staff at UMD Health Services provides quality, primary health care that is aimed toward young adults and to the unique needs of college students.

Physicians, nurse practioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses are available on an appointment and urgent care basis. Most health needs can be met directly within the Health Services facility.

Medical services provided include, but are not limited to:

• Acute illness or injuries
• Allergy injections
• Dermatology concerns
• Elective minor surgery
• Gynecology exams
• Immunizations
• Laboratory
• Nutrition
• Physical exams
• Screening and Treatment for Sexually transmitted infections
• Smoking cessation
• Sports medicine
• Wart treatments
• X-rays

Health Services also has an on-site dispensary which stocks contraceptives and medications for acute illnesses.

Student Services Fee

Students who pay the student services fee do not pay an office charge or co-pay.
