Aisthesis Honors Journal is an undergraduate journal produced by students in University Honors at UMD. As a cross-disciplinary selection of work, Aisthesis accepts research projects, essays, poetry, fictional stories, photographs, graphic art, etc. exclusively from Honors students across the country. Submissions that extend and expand boundaries are both welcomed and encouraged.
This journal offers an excellent opportunity for students to be published as undergraduates in a respectable, student-produced journal. A student editorial committee blindly reviews and selects all submissions to be accepted into Aisthesis. Being selected for publication by fellow Honors students provides a mark of personal achievement and pride.
Submission process and guidelines:-Students must be either current Honors students or enrolled in Honors classes. Submissions can be sent electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the submission title, your name, and your affiliated university. Written work should not exceed 5,000 words, and text files in Word or plain-text format are preferred. Graphic files should be sent in jpg format. After the submission deadline, a student editorial committee will blindly review and select submissions for the upcoming issue. All contributors will be notified about the status of their submission a few weeks following the deadline.
We accept submissions year round. There are deadlines each semester for the journal because issues are produced bi-annually. These deadlines typically fall around November and April. For specific deadlines or any further questions about submission requirements or the publication process, please email email@example.com.
