Admissions

The UMD Honors Program is looking for excellent students in all disciplines who want to participate actively in their education. It attempts to bring together students with a diversity of talents, interests, and experiences.

Qualified incoming freshman receive letters of invitation to apply to the program. We consider class rank, ACT scores, as well as extracurricular activities, Advanced Placement courses, and leadership experience. Current undergraduates or transfer students with University GPAs of 3.5 or better are also encouraged to apply for admission.
