New Student Housing Application Process

UMD Housing application-contracts will be available on-line for admitted students after they have confirmed attending an academic orientation session.

Students who return a housing application-contract postmarked on or before May 1, 2008, will be reserved and assigned a space in University housing based on the date of application for admission to UMD and the availability of space.

UMD Dining Center

The meals from the Dining Center are included in the UMD housing contract for students living in the residence halls and suites. Apartment and off-campus residents who wish to eat meals in the Dining Center, may purchase a meal ticket for 5 or 10 meals from the cashier in the Dining Center. Apartment residents may also purchase a lunch only Monday - Friday meal plan. The current menu may be viewed here.

When entering the dining center, your student ID is scanned for admittance to insure that if you ID card is ever lost or stolen, others will not be able to use it.

There is a wide variety of items to choose from including hot entrees, salad bar, dessert bar, sandwich bar, potato & pasta bar for lunch, along with numerous beverage choices. And as always, it's all you can eat. However, you are not permitted to bring food outside of the dining center.

The dining center is also a great environment to enjoy meals as well as socialization with friends.
