Housing application-contracts are available to new students who have scheduled an academic advisement/registration date. The priority application date for UMD housing is May 1. Prospective students who submit a housing application-contract on or before May 1 will be assigned a space based on date of application for admission to UMD. Application-contracts received after May 1 will be assigned a space based on the date the housing application-contract was received and availability of space.

New student housing application-contracts will be available on-line for admitted students beginning on February 1, 2013.

Grandma's Marathon Housing at UMD

Thank you for your interest in Grandma's Marathon housing at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Reservation requests will be accepted beginning March 1 through June 1, 2012.

UMD is pleased to rent residence hall rooms and apartments for Grandma's Marathon.

Residence hall rooms:Each room has two single beds, sheets, blankets, pillows and cases, towels, washcloths, soap, drinking glasses, and a small refrigerator. Restroom facilities are communal-style shared baths. The price of a two night minimum room rental, including tax, is $188.

Apartments:Each apartment has two bedrooms with two single beds in each (four single beds total - with sheets, blankets, pillows and cases, towels, washcloths, soap, and drinking glasses), a bathroom, a furnished living room, and a kitchen (with refrigerator, sink, stove - no dishes provided). The price of a two night minimum apartment rental, including tax, is $409.

Laundry facilities and parking in residence lots are provided at no charge. Most rooms do not include land-line phones; please remember to bring your cell phone. Please consider bringing a small fan as rooms are not air-conditioned.

Smoking is prohibited on all UMD property. The smoking ban includes indoor facilities and the campus grounds. Pets are not allowed in the housing facilities.

Availability is on a first come, first served basis. Please complete, print and return both the request and agreement forms via U.S. mail or fax; we do not accept reservations by e-mail or phone message. Payment is accepted only by MasterCard, VISA, or Discover credit cards. The full charge for your stay will be put on your credit card. Cancellations made prior to June 1 will receive a full refund; reservations, changes, and cancellations will not be accepted after June 1.
