Housing application-contracts for the 2010-2011 academic year will be available on-line for prospective students after a prospective student is admitted and scheduled for an advisement-registration date. The priority application date for submitting a UMD housing application-contract is May 1. Students who submit a housing application-contract on or before May 1 will be assigned a space based on the date of application for admission.
Application-contracts received after May 1 will be accepted based on availability of space and will be assigned based on the date the application-contract is received. The University cannot guarantee housing to students who apply for housing after May 1.

Residence Parking Decal Request Card
- Available at LSH 103
- Falsification of information results in disciplinary action.
- Must have a valid Housing Contract to submit and retain permit.
Residence Parking Decals
- All vehicles must display decal from rear view mirror, during the academic year.
- Non-transferable to another person.
- Enforced 24 hours, seven days a week.

Weekly Decals will not be available during the first week of each semester.
Lot Designations
- Decals valid only in the parking lots as designated on the permit. Example: Lot M decal is good in Lots M and Lot M2.
- If all lots are full for your designation, call 8400, M-F, 8-4:30. Call 911 for Campus Police, after hours and on weekends
Parking Ticket Rates in Residence Lots
- $12.00 - No Residence Parking Decal displayed in vehicle.
- $38.00 - Modified or copied Residence Parking Decal.
- $53.00 - Displaying stolen or unauthorized Residence Parking Decal.
Cancellation of Housing Contract
- Decal becomes void the same day.
- Decal must be turned in when room keys returned.
Snow Removal
- Email notices will be sent out to the permit holder.
- Schedules will be posted at Residence Hall and Apartment mail boxes and office areas.
Schedules will also be posted on the Residence Parking Announcement Page
- Alternate parking locations will be listed on schedules.
- Tickets will be issued for vehicles not moved during plowing times and dates.
Motorcycle Parking
- No permits are required.
- Must park in designated areas
Guest Overnight Parking
- On the streets where posted as legal to park.
- At any parking meter on campus, without paying, between 6:30 P.M. and 8:00 A.M. the next day.
