Program Mission

Parallel to the Mission of the University, the mission of the Athletic Training Education Program at the University of Minnesota Duluth is dedicated to the advancement of learning and the search for truth; to the sharing of this knowledge through education for a diverse community; and to the application of this knowledge to benefit the people of the state, the nation, and the world. The Athletic Training Education Program is committed to providing students with educational, clinical, and professional growth opportunities that will help prepare them for: 1) The Board of Certification (BOC) examination, 2) Entry into the Athletic Training profession, and 3) Graduate programs in Athletic Training and other Allied Health Professions. Students in the Athletic Training Education Program are offered a curriculum of didactic and clinical experiences with primary emphasis on “hands on” learning.
