The TLC program is a collaborative effort of faculty and students in the Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPER).The purpose of the program is to help UMD faculty and staff members to make healthy changes in their lives. There are two components: (1) individualized and supervised health programming for a select number of participants and (2) a health education series for all campus employees. The program is being coordinated by Ken Harkins. Faculty directly involved are Char Harkins, Karen Skrbich, and Amy Versnik-Nowak. The program will offer on campus experience for Exercise Science Students who have completed ESAT 3420 Exercise Testing Prescription. Its being run in the 201 Exercise Physiology Lab three mornings a week. Exercise Science students involved Spring Semester are Stacy Schulz, Jenna Ohland, Kayla Odegard, Andrew Noren, Marie Ulven, Erin Monarski, Bryce Bastolich and Chris Kirckof. It will also offer an educational component being coordinated by current health education major Kerry Berger.
