Erik Peterson of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) identified “Seven Revolutions” that will shape our world to the year 2025, including

Representatives from CSIS, The New York Times, the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), and eight AASCU schools (including UMD) have worked for the past three years to integrate teaching and learning resources using the Seven Revolutions framework that will help university faculty members educate more globally competent citizens.

In this sequel to last April’s workshop on this topic, Denny Falk and Bill Payne will share a recently developed tool kit of curricular materials for teaching Seven Revolutions topics and describe how these resources can be integrated into a range of courses. They will help you to consider ways to make use of these resources in the courses you teach and to prepare your students to live in an increasingly global, interdependent world.

Erik Peterson will be speaking at UMD at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 23 in Bohannon Hall 90.  Erik has delivered previous versions of his multimedia presentation on “The World to 2025” to 750 major audiences consisting of about 100,000 people from 24 countries and 48 states, including the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, leaders of non-governmental organizations, and one meeting of CEOs in which the current combined sales of the companies represented in the room were about $1.7 trillion.  We encourage you at attend.
