UMD Study in New Zealand Where: Waikato University Since spring semester 2005, UMD has offered an exciting study opportunity at the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand. Though heavily dependent on agricultural products such as dairy, meat and wool for her economic prosperity, New Zealand has cultivated a thriving “knowledge economy”. The country’s top programs in areas such as business, accounting, biology, chemistry, and communication are housed at Waikato. In this lovely country of just 4 million inhabitants, sheep outnumber human inhabitants! Nature lovers delight in New Zealand’s compact size as it provides easy exploration of her beaches, volcanoes, fjords, and mountains.
